Amazon ahora requiere declarar contenido generado por IA

El gigante minorista de libros ha introducido un nuevo conjunto de pautas de contenido que los autores y editores independientes deben cumplir para vender sus libros en su mercado:

Requiere declarar cualquier contenido generado por inteligencia artificial (IA), ya sea texto, imágenes o traducciones, cuando se publica un libro nuevo o cuando se edita y se vuelve a publicar uno existente a través del servicio KDP. Los autores y editores no están obligados a revelar contenido asistido por IA.

Amazon distingue entre contenido generado por IA y contenido asistido por IA de la siguiente manera:

  • Contenido generado por IA: Definimos el contenido generado por IA como texto, imágenes o traducciones creadas por una herramienta de IA. Es cuando se utiliza una herramienta basada en IA para crear el contenido (ya sea texto, imágenes o traducciones). En este caso se considera «generado por IA», aunque posteriormente realice modificaciones en él.
  • Contenido asistido por IA: Es cuando crea el contenido usted mismo, pero usa herramientas basadas en IA para editar, pulir, corregir errores o mejorar de otro modo ese contenido (ya sea texto o imágenes). En este caso no se considera contenido «generado por IA», sino «asistido por IA». Del mismo modo, si ha utilizado una herramienta basada en IA para generar ideas, pero finalmente ha creado usted mismo el texto o las imágenes, esto también se consideraría «contenido asistido por IA» en lugar de «generado por IA». No es necesario declarar el uso de dichas herramientas o procesos.

The giant book retailer has introduced a new set of content guidelines that independent authors and publishers should comply with in order to sell their books on its marketplace:

It requires declaring any AI-generated content (text, images, or translations) when a new book is published or when making edits to and republishing an existing one through the service KDP. Authors and publishers are not required to disclose AI-assisted content.

Amazon distinguises between AI-generated and AI-assisted content as follows:

  • AI-generated: We define AI-generated content as text, images, or translations created by an AI-based tool. If you used an AI-based tool to create the actual content (whether text, images, or translations), it is considered «AI-generated,» even if you applied substantial edits afterwards.
  • AI-assisted: If you created the content yourself, and used AI-based tools to edit, refine, error-check, or otherwise improve that content (whether text or images), then it is considered «AI-assisted» and not “AI-generated.” Similarly, if you used an AI-based tool to brainstorm and generate ideas, but ultimately created the text or images yourself, this is also considered «AI-assisted» and not “AI-generated.” It is not necessary to inform us of the use of such tools or processes.

Amazon indicated that the responsibility of verifying the origin of the content and its compliance with intellectual property rights lies with the author or publisher.
